Joe Benke

Joe Benke is a Melbourne-based illustrator and artist with over 25 years' experience producing artwork for print media. Combining hand-drawn and digital techniques, his work has appeared in leading Australian publications, including The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian and the Herald Sun. Throughout his career, Benke has worked across a range of roles - from court and editorial illustrator to graphic artist - and has created front cover artwork for both federal and state Budgets, one of which was nominated for a Quill Award. He currently contributes illustrations for The Age opinion pages, continuing his longstanding engagement with visual storytelling and contemporary commentary.
