Read Wiradjuri man Duncan Smith AO and Nicole Godwin's picture book, We Are Australians, and invite students to reflect on and celebrate who we are as Australians and citizens. Encourage students to share symbols which reflect our national identity and design their own equivalents to support a local identity.

The Museum of Australian Democracy acknowledges Australia's First Nations peoples as the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia.
