Uses for Another Bushfire Enquiry

Four panels showing alternate ways firefighters can use bushfire inquiry reports: a headrest, wheel chocks for a fire engine, to stand on to rescue koalas, for backburning.

A 2010 Senate Inquiry into the bushfires noted: ‘Since 1939, there have been at least 18 major bushfire inquiries in Australia, including state and federal parliamentary committee inquiries, Council of Australian Governments reports, coronial inquiries and Royal Commissions.’ And in the wake of the 2019–20 fires, there were calls for a new Royal Commission.
