The year began with bushfire danger rating signs taking centre stage. By early August the state of nation’s mental health had become a prominent issue as the global health and economic crisis showed few signs of slowing down.
Wilcox’s cartoon is paired with a predecessor in the Museum of Australian Democracy’s collection. Will Mahony’s ‘anxiety-o-meter’ of sorts captures an equally evocative turn of phrase.
