The Prime Minister reshuffled his Cabinet following allegations of rape — strenuously denied — against Attorney-General Christian Porter, and scrutiny of Minister for Defence Linda Reynolds’ response to the alleged rape of her former staffer Brittany Higgins. To address perceptions of toxic workplace culture, he appointed women to prominent positions, including a so-called ‘Prime Minister for Women’. Wilcox questions the authenticity of a cultural change.
