A Glimpse

NASA launched the James Webb Space Telescope on 25 December 2021. The telescope began returning images to Earth in July 2022. They demonstrate the universe is even older than scientists originally believed. Matt Golding used one of the striking photographs taken by the telescope to suggest humanity may be headed for a future no less fiery than the ‘star stuff’ we came from.
