An endless cycle of the government cracking down on one thing, then the bank finding another way to take money from the customer.

… Which is why we needed a banking royal commission. By the time Cathy Wilcox drew this cartoon, the royal commission had exposed the full extent of our big banks’ misconduct and willingness to put profits ahead of the interests of their customers. The commission found that much of the banks’ behaviour was contrary to existing law. It was shocking, and did leave many people feeling pretty cynical.
