Queensland-born and Melbourne-based Van T Rudd, also known as Van Nishing, is a political street artist, muralist and sculptor who has been producing visual art for 30 years. He has long been fascinated by different methods of creating social and political commentary. He won the 2017 Crichton Award for illustration. Rudd has also run as a political candidate in two federal elections, in 2010 and 2022, for socialist parties.
